The Monroe Planning Commission will be conducting a public hearing on Monday, December 4, 2023, for the purpose of accepting any and all public comment prior to deliberating and deciding on allowing a non-conforming use of property currently zoned as Light Industrial.

LAND USE ACTION REQUEST: Allow retail operations, on property zoned Light Commercial that is currently within the City’s Riverside District Overlay and allows mixed use (residential and commercial activities). Diversify and expand Monroe’s economic base by providing opportunities to add additional commercial space for mixed use areas for both industrial and commercial development.
