The City has partnered with a non-profit, The South Benton Community Enhancement Association (SBEA) to provide and opportunity to gather and garner long-term financial support for the capital needs of the Monroe Community Library. Capital needs such as painting of the building, replacing HVAC Units, solar panel replacements, etc. SBEA will create a single designated fund which they will administer for the purpose of providing financial support of capital maintenance and repair.
Below is the staff report and recommendation to the City Council at the meeting on December 17, 2018. The council unanimously approved the partnership with the City and the SBEA. Please look for ways to show your support for the community library in the near future!
